(OEM KEY PROBLEM) System crashed

As title indicates my system has crashed. I figured since the hdd was pretty corrupted it would be ok to format it using a vista img since I have a valid product key and there lyes my problem.

I have a OEm product key and a HP pav dv7 1260us. When I got my laptop it as usual came with no cd's. After reinstalling the OS I came to find out after it first said my key was ok that everytime I go to retsrt computer it saids my key is invalid. Idk what to do at this point. I looked all over the internet to find a OEm version since the retail will not accept OEm keys because of a invalid certificate. So what can I do? My computer now is constantly in a "windows needs to activate 30 more days" state and it won't accept my key. I have called microsoft just to have them tell me i have to contact HP for their original cd's however it cost around 40 for them. I do not simply have the money atm. Can anyone help?

Vista OEM and Retail disks are bit-identical.
The only difference is the Key itself.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
- **in your own thread**, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Welcome
The OEM can only be used on that one machine. If you are trying to install on another machine it will not work.
If you still think that you are doing it correctly make sure you know what is a zero and what is an Oh. Make sure Ones and L's and I's are known. Make sure you are putting the number in correctly.
Finally, if the computer had a lot of repairs the CD may not recognize the computer.

Thank you for the welcome.

1. As I stated in the first post it was the same laptop so I am not trying to install on another computer.

2. The numbers in the OEM code is clear and made sure several times I am not miss typing.

Thank you though.

Microsoft will let you have another key if you phone them
It will ask for numbers to key into your phone and then give you the numbers to enter into the computer

I do not have phone option just buy or try different key. I have called them in the past for other thigns and just tell me to contact hp if i need their version of the OEM cd of vista. They will not do anything about it. They see it's valid and that it is a OEm. But can not do anything further in my experience

My Computer

With an OEM you must go to HP, Microsoft will not help.

The OEM_SLP Key in use here cannot be used on any machine other than the one for which it is designed - it requires a BIOS SLIC table matching the license in the OS.
The error showing is typical of the situation after reinstalling from retail Media using the OEM_SLP Key - because such media does not contain teh appropriate license.

You must either change the Key to the one on the machine's COA sticker, or reinstall using the manufacturer's Recovery media.
