In my Vista computer, I have 4 HDs.
2 SATA (one of which is the OS drive), and 2 IDE. The second SATA, which is just data is no longer recognized. I pulled the HD out of the case, and put it into an enclosure. No go, even tho other drives are recognized when in that same enclosure. The HD spins; I can feel the vibration. There is no noise whatsoever (ticking, etc.), but I can in fact hear that low-level high-pitched spin-up noise when I plug it in.
Is there anything I can do to access the data on this HD? If not, it's not the end of the world, but I am hoping to not have to run out and buy another HD, and xfer data over from DVDs.
Thanks for any insight.
