I have been using outlook with no problems for a few years. But now I have a problem running Outlook 2007 on Vista. My problem started in the last two weeks. If you find an answer please let me know. Outlook is using between 50 to 65% of my CPU. I have gone to the Office install program and did a repair. Could not find any problems. I have also removed the last update to Outlook kb980376 This did not help. So I reinstalled it. I have run in the safe mode and the CPU usage is the same. I have run SFC /scannow no problems found. I hope that I don't have change email programs I like Outlook but it is eating up my CPU usage. I have to close Outlook to get other programs to run fast enough.
Also tried to change Add-Ins in the Trust center. It did not help. To change Add-ins I had run Outlook as Administrator. I don't think that was right. After I had change things in Add-ins and restarted outlook normally the add-in that I had removed as Administrator came right back. The high CPU usage is a real hassle. Sure would like to find a cure. I have switched to Thunderbird till I can solve this problem. Thunderbird isn't bad either.
