I was browsing when my system just shut off, i restarted windows, once twice and then kept getting a blue screen.
after several hours i was finally able to reload to factory settings during which after reloading my safari and opera my computer failed.it failed before i was able to back up files.
when i tried to restore, repair i got the following error code
windows\system32\winload.exe
status Oxc000000e
system couldnt load because file is missing or corrupt.

i cant use restore because i didnt back it up

and now my computer keeps shutting down after a min or so.

There are two things that you can try.
In an andministrators account type cmd then right click, run as administrator.
In cmd type sfc /scannow. This is suppose to find and correct corruption.

If that does not work try this. This is from the Win7 forum, but the information if applicable to Visa, as well.

Depending on how bad your computer is, you may have to attempt these in safe mode.
