Hey guys, I have some trouble here.
I've just installed the OS Vista Ultimate 64 in my Asus P5N-D motherboard.
The problem is that when I was using the XP 32bits the front panel was working perfectly. And now on Vista it doesn't, and I didn't touched the connectors...
My PC specs:
C2D E8400, Asus P5N-D, 4gb DD2/800 Kingston, Zogis 9600GT 512MB, Vortex 752, ST-450P-CG, Seagate 200GB sata, Pioneer DVDRW
All this mounted in a Maxxtro Saturn Case
Can anyone help me with this issue? I've installed many versions of the sound driver and none worked with the front pannel and the connector sensor seems not to work either. thanks
Sorry, yes the sound card is the itegrated ALC883 realtek HD audio of P5N-D.
I've tried the Vista x86 and 64 drivers in ASUS download sitea and it didn't show any difference

Go here, Realtek, check the "Accept the above" box, click next and look for the Vista 64-bit drivers, choose "GO" 1,2, or 3, download, and see these drivers fix your problem?
...or what Dwarf said since he beat me to your response
I found a new tab that came with that new driver 223 from realtek from that link and it separates the front panel as a 2nd audio output. The pros are that I can use the front pannel now and have a complete customization of the audio options of the front pannel, but I still can't use the front pannel along the rear pannel, i can choose one and another.... Even if I mark the box that says "make the audio from rear and front pannels come in separated simultaneous streams" (something like this :-) ).
This is kinda weird no?
