Please Help

I did system restore to original state (factory reset) but after that, every time I try to boot my PC, it show black screen and I have to off it and reboot again and it always recommends I enter system repairs, is this a hardware problem? It's a Toshiba Statellite running Vista Home Premium 32bits. I'd appreciate any help I can get

no safe mode, only system repair or start normally if I enter start normally it won't work I have to turn it off, but if I enter system repair it can start normally, after I shut down and reboot the same problem came up again.
