OK, thanks for that.
First things first, are all your drivers up to date, Video and sound drivers can wreck a game if not up to date.
Also, can you confirm that nothing is overclocked.
Is the game patched and up to date ?.
You may also try compatibility mode and see if that helps.
A visit to the makers site might throw up a solution.
Lastly make sure your system files are all OK. You can do this by following the tutorial. (link below).

Hope this helps, good luck and post your results, thanks.

Yes, all my drivers is up to date, the thing is that the game starts and runs very smoothly, but it is an aweful pc port so you have to change the resolution through the launcher, but everything works except for the launcher. >_< And it is when i start the launcher this error message pops up!

Anyways, nothing is overclocked, everything is up to date, patched etc.

I get the feeling you are going to have to wait for a patch.
Your PC in all other respects is working fine ?.
You can carry out the file check, just to eliminate your file system, another cause for this can be bad memory, but if its only on this game, then i think you can rule that out.
I will keep looking for a fix in the mean time.

Hmm, it doesn't look like a common problem, because i find nothing at google about it. And it's the latest patch, which got released yesterday, but the problem was both before and after the patch.

And yes, its only this game.

And btw, thanks for the help so far =)

hi g0st,

i have exactly the same problem i've done everything you did and still the same issue. What i'm looking for is if someone uploaded their own launcher.exe maybe replacing that with the one i have would fix it. sucks doesn't it when the res is really low eh?

anyway i hope (for both our sake) this issue gets resolved, and sorry for posting on what appears to be a 4 week old thread.

hello again,

i JUST figured out how to change the resolution!!! i don't know if you can change the controls like this but i'm happy at least getting a better resolution.

what you do is you go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Aspyr\Star Wars The Force Unleashed for vista if you have installed in the default directory (i don't know if it changes if you installed elsewhere). There you'll find a config.xml so open with notepad and change the height/width to the appropriate monitor's resolution and there you go! sorry it doesn't exactly address the issue that your launcher isn't working but if i find one... i'll probably pm you instead of opening this thread up again :)
