Are you talking about the AVG? It is a good program will the other one you want to replace it with be just as good if not more?:huh:

Make a system restore point in case you dont like it. But most here, and me too, use it and its great.
That being said, your computer has problems, which must be fixed.

I am telling you I am having a hard time removing programs UGHHH! My vista is having problems getting rid of programs I am sorry, I am frustrated. The AVG does not want to leave either, I have tried several times and am trying it again.

try to uninstall it using Revo Uninstaller, it works like a charm

Well you say its taking forever, wait a bit longer. If you cannot uninstall, we can download Revo and use that to uninstall.

Yes install it now and then give pic of Task Manager that shows the percentage of memory usage.

Richc46 one thing that I could see in the task manager was that the firefox application was using a lot of memory. Lets try not to use it for a while and use a different browser such as chrome or Avant.

FF is using way too much Ram
