problem with sleep mode

I'm so glad i've found these forums, I just recently got a dell inspiron 530, Windows Vista. I recently did a factory restore on my computer and now everytime i put it in sleep mode, it wakes up after a few seconds without me touching it and I want to prevent it from waking up without my command.

Also when I view videos in full screen on the internet, I have these two black bars that appear on the left and right of the screen, how can I get that off?

I'm not sure about the internet videos.

For your computer waking up, you might check the items in this tutorial below to see what mat be waking it up and how to stop it. A usual item is the network card set to allow to wake the computer.

You might create a new thread in the Network & Internet forum for you other question to have it in a subject closer to that problem. This way you might get more of a chance for a solution. I hope you get one soon for it.

If you are using a wide screen monitor, a lot of Videos are made in 4:3 ratio, so will show a black strip at either side.

Try the BBC player, the present programs are in 16:9 (widescreen)
