Program has stopped working

I installed Family History 3.0 on my new laptop over 12 months ago and I had no problems running until recently. An automatic upgrade to Windows Vista failed and I had to use restore, ever since this restore I have been unable to open Family History 3.0, getting message 'Family Historian has stopped working'.
I have tried reinstalling but get same message
My antivirus is Spyware Doctor, I have run a full scan , there were no errors that needed to be repaired

Try with clean boot to help diagnose
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If that does not work, try in safe mode.

This issue could be because your system now nees to be updated?

Please update the recoverred system to SP2 & plus any others since the service pack was released by visiting the Windows update website.
