Does anyone have a solution for a recurring PS2 keyboard showing up in device manager? The yellow error sign with exclamation point appears next to it. I have never used a ps2 keyboard with this system. I've tried to remove the ghost device several times and it keeps reappearing after a reboot. I have always used a USB keyboard with this system since new. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible that it is accidentally reading another device as that ghost KB? Instead of removing it try disabling it.
Also, does it affect your normal KB in any way?

I've tried disabling it, uninstalling, and a registry edit to no avail. The reg edit was pretty scary. It disabled all keyboards completely. Good thing there is an on screen keyboard.
The system health report keeps showing the ps2 error. I originally went ran the report because my system was taking a long time to switch between users, as well as start up and logging off. I have a feeling its related to the previous Logitech drivers I uninstalled. Logitech support was unable to help me with the problem. I'm currently using a Microsoft X6 keyboard and drivers. The new keyboard seems to be functioning ok.

Lurkers are always welcome - mainly because if you continue to lurk, then that means not only is our site interesting but you're learning stuff too....
have you ever used a PS/2 KB at all on this system? If not, then see if there is some remnants of hte Logitech drivers, and also, you might check the PS/2 port to see if some dust bunnies might be in there shorting out the port....

I have never used a ps2 kb on this system until yesterday. I borrowed one yesterday from a friend to try plugging it in and uninstalling it. The ps2 kb works properly when its plugged in. The yellow triangle with exclamation point goes away, only to return when the kb is unplugged. Whats the best way to look for Logitech driver remnants?

Well, according to Cannot uninstall Logitech iTouch software - Keyboard - Software - Logitech Forums you should use Revo - but that assumes that you are trying to uninstall it not look for remnants, and I am not sure Revo can help with things *already* uninstalled.
Another suggestion in this lengthy set of posts Help Uninstalling Logitech Drivers - Page 2 ultimately suggest using HiJack this and looking for any Logitech drivers that are still *loading* into memory - which is what seems to be happening here, so you may give that a shot as well.

I too stumbled across the same link a few days ago. I tried the Revo uninstaller. On their site, it says their software uses the original programs uninstaller to remove the program. I tried it anyway, with no luck.
I just finished looking at the HiJackThis log, and it doesn't reveal any related Logitech drivers/fragments. Nothing out of the ordinary. I was finally able to disable the driver. For some reason the disable command finally processed. The disabled driver still shows up in the system health report, but the system is now more responsive during reboots, logoffs, and shut downs.
I have a spare Raptor and I think I'll give a fresh install a try. Just for fun. Thank you for all your help. Much appreciated:D
