I'd be grateful if someone can tell me how to register msstdfmt.dll on my Vista 64 bit system ?
I cannot get advice that works from the web!
I have put this msstdfmt.dll in both System32 & Syswow64............is this right ?

Thanks,
TerryWallis

After the DLL file has been pasted to the right folder on your computer, you must register the DLL file with Windows Registry. You can do this using the regsvr32 command in a Command Prompt with administrative privileges; just use whichever command applies to your version of Windows:
32-bit: regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msstdfmt.dll
64-bit: regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\msstdfmt.dll
From the start menu right click on command prompt and select run as administrator. Just register the 64-bit.

Yes ....I have used command prompt many times before. My question was, what do I write to get it to register the files ?
and I see your link has 64-bit: regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\msstdfmt.dll so I'll try that.
Thanks
