Roxio wants a certificate

Hi all,
Since a Factory Image reinstall on my system I have not been able to get my Roxio Easy Media Creator to work. When I click on any of the icons, it says that the 'certificate is invalid or corrupted' and wants me to reinstall it.
Is there some way of repairing this short of a complete reinstall? I have the Roxio disk supplied by Dell and I was hoping to get away with not having to completely reinstall the program. I have no luck with that stuff.
Thanks
Peppurr

Hi all,
THank you for your replies.
SCSIraidGuru, do you mean Programs and Features? I did look there but I have about 10 Roxio Applications listed and don't know where to start.
They are:
Roxio Activation Module
Roxio Creator Audio
Roxio Creator BDAV Plugin
Roxio Creator Copy
Roxio Creator Data
Roxio Creator Premier
Roxio Creator Tools
Roxio EasyArchive
Roxio Express Labeler
Roxio MyDVD Premier
Roxio Update Manager
and
Sonic CinePlayer Decoder Pack (which has a Roxio Icon)
Very confused..
Any help would be appreciated.

Airbot,
Would the SFC be good for the Roxio stuff? No problems in vista itself
Thanks

Hi Peppurr101,

I had something similar happen to me with Roxio after a Factory Image reinstall.

All you need to do is insert your Roxio disk and follow the simple steps to reinstall, it is quite an easy procedure and will automatically remove your old Roxio. Remember to restart your computer when finished.

Hope this helps.:)

Hi Red Dawn,
Thank you for your reply and I'm sorry I missed it.:o
I did go over to the Roxio boards and came up with a really complicated tutorial the recommended I completely take out my old Roxio (including some really scary go into the registry instructions) before re-installing.
I just want to clarify. You put the CD in and re-installed over the installed version of Roxio Easy Media Creator?
Did you have to 'run as administrator'?
If I upgrade, will that solve it? I am thinking of getting an HP 8180 printer and I think that comes with some kind of Roxio software.
Thanks
Liz
PS Do I remember seeing you over at Dell?

Yes, when I completed my Factory Image reinstall, Roxio wouldn't work, saying that the trial had expired (? it wasn't a trial to begin with ), I just inserted my Roxio CD and ran it. It gave simple to follow prompts that uninstalled the previous and installed a fresh copy. Can't remember if I ran it as administrator or not.

My problem was a little different than yours and my Roxio components in Add/Remove are slightly different too, but I can't see why applying the same solution wouldn't work, certainly can't hurt to try.

If I upgrade, will that solve it? I am thinking of getting an HP 8180 printer and I think that comes with some kind of Roxio software.
Not sure, I wouldn't think though that any software supplied with a printer would contain DVD/CD editing (maybe photo editing?), again I really can't say for sure.

PS Do I remember seeing you over at Dell?
yeah, I'm a bit of a forum junkie :D.
