So....I'm a nurse not a computer person. I made a dvd at CVS from a bunch of pictures. I'm trying to save it to my computer so I can email it around to my co-workers. Can someone tell me how? And remember, I might be able to start an IV and save your life, but I need help saving files! Thanks

You can copy the pictures to your hard drive by opening My Computer and finding the drive that has the cd in it and right clicking on it then choose explore.
Once your in the window and can see all of your pictures hit the control-A and that will high light all of the files. Then right click on any one of the pictures and choose copy.
Mind you don't click on a blank space or it will deselect everything.
After you have copied the files you can create a new folder then open it and right click on a blank space and then choose paste.
Then all the files that were on the disk will be copied to the new folder and you can do with as you please.

I hope this helps you out.
If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.

If it's a datadisk the procedure DemonSeed posted will get your files saved on your harddisk.

However if it's a video slideshow (or whatever, never made one of those myself) in DVD video format, you will have to 'rip' the dvd video.

A quick google'd guide/explanation can be found here:
How to Rip a DVD (with video) - wikiHow

My guess is that it’s a data disc. You should be able to navigate to the disc by clicking Start, click Computer, then select the disc.

From there you can copy and paste the files wherever you want on your computer.
