Screen capture & Snipping tool

So is that correct that Vista Home Premium will not allow to do screen capture using the snipping tool to post in this forum?

I searched the vista tutorials and could not find the pertinant tutorial on the subject. Howere one thread seems to suggest that this facility is not possible in Vista Home Basic.

Would anybody kind enough to direct me to the correct answer if one available.
Thanking you
Snow

I have Vista Home Premium and the Snipping Tool works no problem, mabye I am misunderstanding you, but what happens when you run it? if you click on Start and then type in the start search box "Snipping Tool" it will be listed and then click it to start it.

I've taken a screen capture of my desktop using it and its been fine

Hope I am not barking up the wrong tree here :)

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I can find the snipping tool ok.
But then go to the forum reply page and when try to past it the fonts and details are not clear!!
Should I first past it to my clip board.
I see how masterly Brink has pasted screen shots.-That is what I am after.
With regards.

this is what you should be doing....:)

snip the image you wish to post, save it to your HDD in pictures, go to the forum click the ''paperclip'' icon in the post taskbar & add the image you just saved, upload it, then once the pic has uploaded, click the paperclip again & place the image within your post

thats it, once you post the image should come up at the same resolution as you posted it...

hope this helps.
