Try downloading and installing Windows Search 4.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/desktopsearch/choose/windowssearch4.mspx )which may resovle your problem.

When done, read this tutorial - http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/158288-advanced-searches.html.

What a sweet deal hey Dzomlija two in one package you helped two people :)

Two for the price of one. Radical!

Thank you Peter for this useful information, it made my Laptop faster.

I assume you mean Windows Search 4.0? It most defintely made a difference on my rig, which is why I recommend it to everyone. For me, not only does the index update way faster than before, but when I perform searches, in many case I can't type fast enough to keep up with the speed at which results are returned!

It's not only us, you know. This is peer-to-peer, which generally means you can come here for help, or if you see a message to which you know the answer, then you can also contribute.

I came hear months ago looking for help with a BSOD, and stuck around for a lot longer when I realized that I could provide help to others too.
