Searching for drivers for Epson GT-6000 for Vista

Hi,
I would like to get my dear old friend the EPSON GT-6000 scanner to run on my vista 32 machine. The physical interface issue (no LPT1 interface on my laptop anymore) have I solved with an adapter, but seemingly there are no drivers anymore either.
At least the guy from Epson said so.
Does anybody has a hint for me how to get it running?
