Hi,
How can I stop getting Security Updates for Office 2007, they are constantly updated and failed of course since I have Office 2003. Did have a trial Office 2007 which came with the computer that I've long uninstalled.

Hi Karmacat,

Go to start, Control Panel, Windows Upate, In the left Panel, Change settings and remove the tick from Update service, Use microsoft update

To get updates for office 2003 you will then have to reactivate the updates for Windows and other products from Microsoft Update.

You may also be asked to enter the download addresses into Internet Explorer again but this is well expained on the webpage that opens up, should this step be necessary.

I hope this helps

Hi there,

Thanks.....see how it works if the updates are not automatic and it lets me choose instead, maybe it will stop trying to update the same Office 2007 files over ad over again. By the way, I get the Office 2003 updates.
