Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90

I use Windows Mail and just yesterday realized that I can not receive email from my account. I can send it though. I continue to get this message. Log on using secure password authentication is NOT checked. Can anyone assist me?

All you need to do is go to accounts
then server tab
Then at the bottom check the authentication box.
I have tried it with the box checked and unchecked and still get the same error message. Any other thoughts? I appreciate the help.
