I finally got it finished; here's a pic; I have to add the rest of the RAM and work on cable management but I'm not finished adding components; another CD/DVD drive and a FDD/card reader combo are coming next week.

Ted, why didn't you buy the Cosmos S? Nice Build

Hello SWAT, thanks!

I liked the separate removable HDD trays better than having to rig everything into 5.25 bays. I looked at the Cosmos S but decided against it, even though I like the black color better than the silver; besides all you really see is the front and that's black.

Hello Amplid, thanks!

There are slots in the back, I've got as many cables/wires behind the mobo tray as will fit there; it's the way the rear door fits to the frame, there's no clearance in certain areas, especially for big cable connectors. As I said, I've got more components coming and cable management will be an ongoing process.....;)

Hello y'all.

Well, I've flashed the BIOS and got it to start with 2GB more RAM, for a total so far of 4GB; I guess I'll have to raise the voltages to get it to start with the other 4GB, to bring the total to 8GB, I'll post back when it's so.

Between the BIOS flash and the extra RAM; the flicker/jump I was having with the video card has ceased, which makes me real happy.

I am excited for you but not me.

You have that 24" LCD Monitor I want! Also my Custom-Built PC isn't doing too good.

I am having problems with my motherboard/usb ports. I had XP Pro on it and I kept getting "USB Device Not Recognized" so I re-installed XP Pro and it came back. Did a bios update and it was still there. I installed Vista x64 and it still came back. Now I want to go back to XP Pro but when I try to install XP Pro back on there it keeps blue screening :(

I am running out of options. The mobo is a Intel DG965WH. I am about to buy a new board and see if thats the fix.........

I definitely am happy running XP on it when it works tho. I want to be able to use my USB ports.... I like Vista on my laptop because I only use my laptop for the internet and such...

Hello Angelo.

I did raise the RAM voltage to the rated 2.1v and now have it booting with 6GB on board; can't get it to boot with the last 2GB stick though, but I'll keep working on it. I'll be sure to keep you informed.

    My First Build ;)
Just got my setup placed into it's new home, a brand new Cooler Master CM 690 Chassis! Here are some pictures of my build, I've yet to do any hardcore cable management but I'll be getting to it after I install a window on the side panel.

The case, all sealed up and ready to go:

Case top external connection ports:

Underside ventilation and 140mm Scythe side panel fan:

Hard drive bays:

Current cable management shots:

General case interior:

And the reason I need a side window:

I'm also thinking of cutting a small channel on the backside of the mother board tray to take some pressure off the side panel. It's currently bending do to the huge pile up of cable behind the motherboard tray, even with it all spaced out... This new case is in preparation for a new modular power supply (ABS Tagan) and a new graphics card (Nvidia GTX 285). You may have noticed that I propped off the Cooler Master logo from the front of the case, I just like the "clean" look without any branding showing, so it had to go. I also mentioned the side panel window earlier, if anyone has any recommendations or information regarding side panel window installations, it would be great to hear!

Nice rig there Freelancer
Thanks!

Also, protip here for anyone willing to listen... See the top panel audio connector hanging down there by the hard drive bays in the last picture? That's why the top panel doesn't work...

I spent like 30 minutes trying to figure out why it wasn't working... Then I took the side panel off and was like "Oh... Wow... I fail...".
