ive got a 4gig usb plugged into my pc used as a readyboost because its just lying about so i thought id give it a job to do:D but it keeps waking my computer up when i put it in sleep mode but cant find an option to stop waking the computer up in the device manager unlike the network adapters etc ..
so basicly how do i get it to stop waking my pc from sleep mode?
First, is your computer really going to sleep or in "prevent idling to sleep mode" or "away mode"?
If your system is really asleep the power button will flash on/off. Otherwise, the screen just shuts off, and enters away mode.
This is common in networked computers that are set to "share media". I had the sleep issue happen on all networked computers; desktop; and (2) notebooks. "allow the computer to sleep" setting must be enabled under the power plan(s).
Put your system to sleep and check the power button. If its not blinking its not in sleep mode, and you will have to adjust the settings under advanced power options for it to enter sleep mode.
