Okay so im not sure if im suppose to be posting here since i have w7 now, but what the hay..., so i got a new computer and im not sure how to explain it but when im not touching the mouse to the computer or typing they screen goes to screen saver and im trying to figure out how can i make it wait longer to got to the screen saver when im noit touching the computer or anything i want it like on my last computer, it went to the screen saver after 10 minutes or so when i wasnt not touching the computer.

here's what i have on my plan settings:

"on battery":

dem the display-never
turn off the display-15 minutes
put the computer to sleep-20 minutes

"plugged in":

dem the dislpay-never
turn off the display-15 minutes
put the computer to sleep-20 minutes

(its the same as "on battery")

yeahh

oh yeah i forgot my computer goes to the screen saver after about 3 minutes of not touching anything or typing.

PibbXtra,

You have adjusted the power settings for your system. The screensaver is a whole other thing and THAT is what you need to change. I don't have W7, but here is a tutorial that shows you exactly how to do it: Screen Saver - Change - Windows 7 Forums.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

P.S. You really should post now in www.sevenforums.com as they know more about Windows 7 (that's their focus like we focus on Vista) and you will get the best advice there.

P.P.S. Although the power settings make sense with the battery, if I were you, I'd change the AC power settings to a bit longer so your computer doesn't go to sleep on you just because you took a short break - but that's entirely up to you. If you're happy the way they are, then by all means leave them just as they are.
