I have a Vista Laptop with better specs than an old XP PC. Even after I re loaded the set up disks created when I first bought it ( A Toshiba) It always seems to churn away and it is a lot slower at just about everything than the XP PC.
So much so that I am considering dumping Vista and load XP. I Formatted the 120 gig drive prior to re loading the system back to factory standard. This did not seem to help. Any clues appreciated. I have even tried dumping a lot of the programs that load on start up and any that seem to be using processor time.
