Snipping tool...

Vista Home Premium does not seem to have a snipping tool. So how does one do a screen capture?

At Circuit City a technician located the tool on the demonstration computer.
I wonder whether this is a feature of versions beyond Home Premium.

You are correct, Vista Home (basic) does not provide that tool.

Try download.com or betanews.com for a few options on free capture tools for vista.

Or upgrade to Premium (+).

Press PRINT SCREEN on your keyboard. Then open up your graphics program and do PASTE. Your screen capture will then appear. This works in almost all versions of windows.

Guide: Screenshots

Go there and get BO Shot, and whenever you hit Print Screen, it'll take a screen capture and stick it in a folder of your choice with no need to paste anywhere. I've been using it for a while now, and love it.

Thanks to all who answered my question. This is a feature I use often. My old Paint Shop Pro 9 still serves for now, but I will look into other programs for future use.
