OK... getting very tired of my loading time. I turn my computer off once every few weeks because it takes so long to fire up. I think I need my startup files cleaned but how do I know what to keep checked?
That site is helpful but I don't know what I can get rid of on the startup menu. I think I have too much stuff opening at startup. It takes 2.5 min to reboot and another minute after the desktop comes up that I have to wait. I suppose I can live with it since I usually don't turn it on or reboot often.
3-4 minutes is right in the ballpark for my system to do a cold boot. Sometimes it's longer because I'm running an old version of Norton that includes loading the Win Doctor and the anti-virus doing a quick scan.
My Win 7 machine takes about an equal amount of time.
So, I'm wondering if you really have something out of the ordinary.
