Steam Problem

Good day anyone have a fix for this steam is stuck on updating user information and times out after a few hours, i do have the version pre discontinued on had to re install everything since my ssd decided to die


im pretty sure it has to do with root certificates but cant seem to find some

my vista 64 is fully updated with all the updates i had

Your system specs say you're running Win 10. Is that an error?

It would certainly be a lot easier to use Steam on System One, since Steam ended support for Vista some time ago. The most recent writing I’ve seen about using Steam on Vista is at Trying to get modern game clients (Steam, Origin, and others) to fully work on Vista (Extended Kernel).

As for updating root certificates on Vista, Certifacte Trust Provider error installing updates.

I wish you luck because this sort of thing is not for novices.
