STILL KSODING

I tried both cd install (the one where you boot from the cd) and app install (the one where you begin the beginning process via app), nothing worked.

Honestly, I don't know why it won't install. With all the different sources of the installation files you end up with the same result.

I was just wanting to get more details about your system in case there's something there incompatible with Vista. It doesn't look like updating did anything. Unusual in the lack of detail.

“My Computer” information isn’t detected automatically: Andre31910 would have to update it using his keyboard. If you have a specific question about his hardware, why don’t you just ask him? That notebook should have shipped with Windows 7, and indeed he reports having Windows 7 installed (which is probably the reason he cannot install Vista, as has been suggested more than once before). His Intel microarchitecture should be primitive enough even for Vista x64, but he long ago stated that he is trying for Vista x86 so I’m not very curious about microarchitecture myself. He also stated long ago in his original thread, Vista installation error! that a Vista virtual machine worked just fine. The problem is that he doesn’t want a Vista VM: He wants to turn his double-boot notebook into a triple-boot XP/Vista/Win7 notebook. Obviously no hangers-on at this forum have ever done that, so he should search for threads from around 16 years ago written by people who actually did it. Of course such threads may have been very scarce because Vista was very unpopular among both Windows XP diehards and early adopters of Windows 7, so I wish Andrei31910 the best of luck with his search.

find 1: Vista Install Black Screen
although it may be caused by a different problem
You did not “wipe” your hard drive like that person, and he was not attempting a multi-boot. Here’s a link that might be of interest: I have a problem installing vista (2nd OS) on Windows 7 - Windows 7 Help Forums

Fortunately, I don’t need to search for old threads myself. I need to upgrade the iOS on my iPhone because Google has recently made changes that prevent me from watching YouTube videos. 😡

Unhelpful suggestions:

(1) Settle for a Vista virtual machine?

(2) Try Windows 8 instead of Vista as your third installation of obsolete Windows?
