i purchase most of my games from steam. every once in a while, steam has a pretty decent discount on some of its games.
as for brick and mortar stores, and for those who frequent target stores, always make sure to check the game isle... when target is trying to make space on the shelves, they usually slash game prices pretty good. for instance, just bought 'tom clancy's hawx' for $7.48. i played the demo a while ago (downloaded from steam) and thought it was cool, but not cool enough for me to fork over $49.99 (when i last checked the price on steam some time ago). as you can see from the package, target reduced the price from $29.99. (even at $29.99, i wasn't willing to buy it
)
but i'll take it for $7.50 all day...
