tcp/ ip problem

Hi, guys
I'm having a problem with tcp/ip setting that
I normally set my tcp/ip autotuning level to normal.
however, at some point when I use "diagnose and repair" on
network connection by right clicking connection icon at the right bottom side
I get this message that I attached in this thread.
I didn't get this before, but suddenly this message pop out.
I don't know the date that this started and I don't think I can fix it with
restore point because I usually delete resotre points except most recent one.

I think it might be my new norton internet security 2011 that causing the problem.
I'm not sure, but my internet security have causing ohter problems lately.

Microsoft’s Vista enables a TCP Window Scaling option by default. For most systems this is a good thing. However, if your router does not support this feature, it can cause many connection areas on your network. This conflict will cause drop packets and limited connection in many circumstances.

To fix this problem, you should do one of two things. First, just upgrade your router to take advantage of this new feature. Second, you can just turn off this TCP feature. Click the button that says Turn off the TCP setting that is not compatible with your router and let the repair should take place.

if this not fix the problem:
Click on Vista Start button.
Click on Run.
Type in “Cmd” (without quotes).
The Type "netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled" again without the quotes and press enter. This disables the function and should set it to the safe default.

Thank you man, the wireless router that i have to use from their access point at the campground keeps telling me the samething that the OP is having trouble with, but sometimes i have to switch access points they have and it will tell me to turn TCP on/off. Not just "off" like the op's problem is but both, and thnx to you i know now i can enable/disable TCP from command prompt...thank you man this helped me a tons...and excuse me for bringing up an old thread but i just had to thank you lol...
