Temp Files

Hi, I recently created a shortcut called deletetempfiles, which I created in notepad. I also added the shortcut to the start folder. So when I restart the comp, or, start the comp, the temp files will automatically be deleted. Well..... The problem is... It seems it has deleted the picture I had for my User Account???.. So I am trying to add the picture again, but I get the message to say that the file does not exist, and is invalid??

The file is a JPEG. How can I put my picture back?, also the whole temp folder is deleted as well. I cannot do a system restore, as it is disabled.
Can anyone help me??..

This is the same vbs that I have, I also created a short cut and added to the start up folder, but it deleted my pictures in the temp folder, now I cannot add a picture to my user account??... HELP???

Hi Rip,

When you say System Restore has been disabled - do you mean you disabled it, or it has stopped running just now.


If the latter:


Check in Services.msc that Task Scheduler, Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider and Volume Shadow Copy are running.

create a folder @ the root of C: then try saving some jpegs there.
then nav to said folder and try to update from there, it may be that the org folder is gone ( as you said it was deleted)

where it says carmine go to your user name folder then follow the path to where the files should be
