Unable to update vista manually

It's ANNOYING as hell i'm 100% sure I don't have those updates but It just displays an error that they do not apply to my system, I need them to make the Windows update fix work also i wanna try installing extended kernel, Does anyone know how to fix it? I'm running vanilla vista home premium

I'll let someone smarter than me talk about the extended kernel but, did you select "Never check for updates" in Windows Updates and reboot before you tried the installation?

well uh kinda embarrassing but i had those updates already thats why it was erroring

Just re-read your original post. What is "those updates?" Windows Update won't find any if you run it since none have been available since 2017.

I was trying to use wsus server to make windows update work again but it needed a few updates that i had to install manually and it was just failing to install them and the wsus just took rlly long time to find updates

WSUS won't find any updates because they're no longer available from the Microsoft Catalog. You need either an ISO which contains all the updates or each update individually (what a pain). Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit?
