Upgrade Dell XPS 400 problems

Guys I have figured it out and thought I should post my results for anyone else who has this problem. What I did is inserted my Vista DVD into another computer and dragged the contents over to a USB flash drive and then stuck the flash into my other computer and ran SETUP from there. It installed fine and is up and running. Thanks
