USB ports stop working

My system was fine for months, now all my USB ports turn off and on randomly, usually while I try to play a game. It doesn't matter what game.

I have all current updates to Vista and all my mobo drivers are up to date.

I have tried both rear and front ports in every combination I could think of.

I have tried all USB BIOS settings. (There aren't many)

I don't know what else to do.

Try uninstalling then reinstalling the drivers !
Another alternative is to Check the power management of the root hub(s) in Device manager and see whether the little box I marked is checked. If yes, uncheck it.
Basically go into device manager right click onto each usb hub ports click properties then power management tab and uncheck box ( Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power ) if its checked !
Hope this helps !
