Thanks very much for everyone's help. I have my system cleaner and
running lot smoother.
I solved the slow, slow opening of pictures/images...........
The default of opening them was changed from Windows Photo Gallery to
Windows Live Photo Gallery...OH !
I don't remember changing the default to Wn Live Photo Gallery (course,
there's lot of things I don't remember), but why Windows publish this
thingy...should be wiped-out!!
Again, thanks to all and will consider this problem solved. Bob :D

Bob,
That's good news I am pleased we were able to get things sorted for you. That's what we're here for, after all !
You have a good collection of the security programs, so I will not nag you on that one. But, you might like to consider including the online eset within your program?
Once it's settled you might like to consider putting some more memory in, may help a little with the overall computers functions. I think your's takes, up to 2Gb,If I remember right.
In average computer approximately 512mb can be taken up in running your 'engine parts' to coin a phrase.
Keep that in mind.
Good luck Bob & Happy Computing.

Hello I learned to write this kind of thing down in a notebook I keep by my computer, so if I make changes and something is wrong then I first look in my book to see what I might have done and then it will jog my memory, Just an idea...

Hi Bob,
I guess we're all like that sometimes, me especially, very forgetful.
Now what was it I was going to remind you of?
Oh yes, tomorrow Tuesday is Windows update release day.
I understand that seventeen (17) are being released, quite3 a lot!
It has been known, as you are aware that the updates upset things sometimes.
With the trouble you've just had I thought I'd let you know.
I always ere on the side of caution and make sure my settings are for me to choose, as per screenshot.

Now where did I put........................
