I am running Skype 7 and have been advised to update to Skype 8 as support will end soon "November" will the new version be compatible with Vista? If not I suspect that you can kiss goodby to any credits you have.

It looks like a forced upgrade which means they will likely stop allowing users to login with it. Also according to the system requirements version 8 requires 7. Are you really surprised?
