I'm not sure whether I will be helpful or not, but I think you need driver in order to get the hotkeys to work. What I got on the Lenovo site is this Hotkey Driver.
Please download and try this, maybe it's the key to solve your problem. Hope it helps.
I'm sorry the hear the driver doesn't work. Probably it's for different models of Lenovo. What exactly is your computer model, is it desktop or the notebook? If you let me know this I will try to find the right driver, however I can't promise this in hundred percent.
Hi Martee.
Not sure what model comp is as it has been built for us ( where do I look to find this out? ) We are running 32 bit vista home premium SP2 on a desktop, 2g RAM, Pentium 4, CPU 3.40 GHz, 200gb hard drive with 133gb free.
What else do you need?
I hope this driver is for your lenovo 89p8800. You will find on this site the driver and the manual how to install this keyboard driver as well. Please let me know how it works.
I'm afraid that didn't work either. Thank you so much for your help though. Should I be uninstalling the previous driver or running a cleaner to get rid of previous installation files?
Yes, that's good idea with uninstalling the old driver. If this driver won't work I'm afraid you will have to ask for help the store that built your computer.
Oh Martee, today when I turned on the comp, the hotkeys are working !!! Yay. It even comes up with a set up screen so that you can change the programs.
