vista failed to start

when ever i reboot it takes me two reboots to boot in to vista. The first time it doesn't boot in to vista it goes to a black screen, i do a restart by holding down the power and then select to start from the last good configuration. I recently switched my hard drive to a different sata port on my mobo i don't know if that's the problem. Thanks for helping.

There's one way to find out, put the SATA cable back where it was; why did you change it to start with; I'll bet you a doughnut that's the problem.

Well, when i got my new case the cable wasn't long enough so I put it in a different port. So the cable will not reach the original SATA port whatsoever. You can have the doughnut yourself .
