I am very glad your here. I need Vista Home Premium 32 bit w/ SP1. I am doing a repair install on a machine with SP1 on it, so I have to have SP1. I do have an ISO but its SP2 and will not work. Hope you can help.

Thanks for sending it. I got it. Do you have one with only SP1. Sp2 will not work. I am doing a repair install on a Vista OS that only has SP1.

No I don't, why will a more up to date ISO not work?
(Microsoft Technet - where this is from originally, only handed out the most up to date ISO's)
Your product key will work - it will adapt the ISO to whatever Vista version it represents.

If doing a repair install you must have the same SP on the media that is actually on the computer you are doing the repair install on. I have SP1 on this one therefor I need an ISO with only SP1. Cannot install SP2 because components are missing. I wanted to do a repair to see if it actually resolved my problem. I can however just wipe it and do a clean install. I am a student in networking and computer support and thought doing the repair would give me hands on. I have done repair on 7 but not on vista.

BTW Did you run the repair from within your current Vista or booting from the installation DVD (my link version)? Sometimes one works where the other doesn't.
