Vista ISO download

I have same issues as many of the others with my older HP desktop.
My recovery disks wouldnt work, installed a copy of XP to get it working.
I want to go back to Vista Home Premium (unsure if 32 or 64 bit).
Download link would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm looking for Vista Home Premium x64 SP1 (I'm trying a repair install on a computer that only has SP1 and my SP2 disk won't do the repair because the service pack level is different). If I could get a download link, that would be awesome.

I can't do that. It begins with "click start" and I can't click start because I can't get in there at all. It won't accept my password

Could I possibly have the Vista home basic ISO 32 bit image please?

I have attempted to install a few images in the hope that I could select the 'home basic' version after you skip the activation code entry point, however I don't seem to ever get the option.
It then installs Premium.. or ultimate in my latest attempt with another image.

Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Don't skip the key code because that decides what version you are going to end up with. However I need to know your email address, disguised of course as in abc AT xyz DOT com. You can come back and edit it out later on.

Then you must be using either a corrupted image or doing it wrong. Are you trying to do a fresh clean install or a repair install and is this from a DVD or are you trying to do it from an image?
