If the OEM came with that other laptop then there it stays, it can't be used anywhere else.
I would start from scratch with the ISO I linked, after burning it to media of course.
Success! Thanks again

Maybe but I'm not really an expert on that. Windows itself will find a lot of the needed drivers.
If the computer is a proprietary brand you should be able to look it up on their website and obtain drivers there.
Or look up the motherboard and the CPU on their respective makers' websites.
The best place to ask would be in the drivers section I guess, here: Drivers
Sent and I was going to say please edit your post to remove that.... ;-)
Hi, is there any way I could get reinstall or recovery disks or possibly a download for my Gateway LX6810=01? I have the Windows Vista 64 bit code key on my computer and I want to reinstall Vista on my computer. Windows 7 ultimate has been installed on it so I don't know if the original operating system has been wiped or if Vista files are still there. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Sure but you need to post your email address - post it disguised as in xyz AT abc DOT com and you should come back after you've got my ISO, and edit it out of your post.
If you installed Win 7 over the top of Vista there should be a file on the hard drive called windows.old which holds files from the old system. But normally an upgrade install would preserve your files. A clean install would not.
