Vista ISO download

Mine are my own stored ISO's gleaned from Microsoft Technet from when I was a Microsoft MVP so are not dodgy, I assure you. Most you will find online are ISO's including SP1 only. Mine include SP2.
No rules are being broken as I do not hand out Product Keys with them. Be VERY careful of what you find on the web.

I just discovered a good, clean source from where you can download Vista ISO. You need to have your product key (e.g. from the COA sticker on your PC).

Create a Bootable Windows USB ISO

I don't know if ex brit is linking to a vista ISO from the same place but I do know where you can download a windows vista ISO. It seems genuine to me as I have downloaded from this place. I downloaded all vista versions on one ISO.

You will need your COA key to make it work. Core Temp for windows Vista

Now I would post the direct link but just encase it may be removed again, type this into google. windows 7 ultimate free download ISO 32 and 64 bit. You can find them there.

Again you do so at your own risk.


Microsoft no longer offers vista ISO downloads.

Or you can try and buy an original copy off ebay. Be careful as could be fake, copy. Or have the issue i may have.

That's your choice but they only include SP1 anyway, mine include SP2.

Unfortunately this hasn't worked for me. I got the ISO, burnt to DVD using ImgBurn and verified. The Windows installation started but canceled itself during step 2 (copying files) saying "Windows cannot install required files. The files may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code 0x80070017. Now my PC won't boot from any device and I'm either told "BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" or it doesn't even get past the F12/DEL options. I've tried prioritizing different boot devices, with and without the Windows disc in the tray, but none of them work. Has this somehow damaged my boot sector? Why might some files have been corrupt or missing? The DVD was verified. Could it be because I chose English (United Kingdom) instead of the default English (United States)? Does anyone have any suggestions?

This thread is purely about obtaining an ISO. You will need to start a brand new thread in another section - here perhaps http://www.vistax64.com/crashes-debugging/
I doubt the language had anything to do with it.
Also check the Tutorials on installing Vista and ask there perhaps.

BTW that error is usually a faulty DVD or DVD drive....see a search for the error code.
