Vista sound driver for my Asus P5VD1-X mobo

Hi guys, I just want to ask help from you. I can't really find a Vista sound driver for my mobo. I have tried searching on Asus's website, but I can't find anything there. I would really appreciate if you could help me find the driver that I'm looking for. By the way, I'm using the 32bit version of Vista.

Asus are way,way behind and as yet do not have proper vista drivers.
I did and install the other day for a friend who had an asus mobo. Windows update installed drivers for the onboard sound.

I take it that you have no drivers and no working sound!!??^*
When you go into device manager is it flagged with a yellow exclamation mark?
If so, try doing a windows update to see if it will download the drivers for you!

Well, got 3 possible options.

1. If you have the unzipped driver files, not .exe, then you could manually
install them in Device manager.
2. If all you have is a .exe, then use compatibility mode. Right click .exe file
& click PROPERTIES. Under COMPATIBILTY tab choose XPsp2.
3. Do the Vista Updates & see if Vista can install a generic driver.
