vista stop :0x000000ED ,please have a look.

The dump file suggests a hardware problem, but it was inconclusive.
To eliminate all software, if it was me, i would format and re-install Vista.
After re-installing Vista you will know that the software side of things is taken care of and can get on with diagnosing any hardware problems, if any.

i was eagerly awaiting ur reply
all the hardware diagnostics i ran came out negative.. so im nt sure if thrz a hardware prblm. and i was trying to install a new OS. tried vista(but i thnk the vista cd i have is corrupted) tried xp (bcuz of the downgrading i couldnot install XP , i ran the setup.exe file of the XP installation through the command prompt in the recovery environment but the option to install XP was unselectable). after waiting fer a long time.. i decided to format c drive. i thought the recovery partition would still be there to manage things. but now the system just boots up with the message BOOTMGR is missing.
the XP installation cd , vista dvd nothing works. even tried to install it using my flash drive.
Installing Windows XP Using A USB Flash Drive | PC Tips
the above link is a tutorial i found that allows me to make my usb device bootable.
but im getting an error message there too..
it says
Cannot load file \$winn_nt$.bt\biosinfo.inf error code 14

and well frankly, im kinda lost now.

Go to the Bios and make the first boot device DVD/CD,
Insert the XP disk and boot-up.
When you get in to the DVD/CD (after choosing the partition) you will find the option to format the drive, format and install XP.
Try this and let us know how it goes, good luck.
