Hello,

I wanna know if we can get a free upgrade from Vista to W7 or W8 or maybe W10 in 2020 ?

I tried few tings like Youtube vids, Microsoft W7 advisor, etc. but can't see something that still works.

Let me know your thought,

Thanks, it is appreciated

Not that I know of. There are deals if you wish to buy win10

Otherwise, you could look around for a win7 license.

Is there a problem with your vista installation?

I wonder how he is able to sell Win 10 so cheap and provide legitimate licenses?

There is no free upgrade from Vista, but I hear that Windows 7 product keys are very cheap now. You should plan on a clean install rather than an in-place upgrade. If you get Win7 running, you could attempt an upgrade to 10, but you might find that 10 doesn't run very well on old hardware. Many Win7 users who took the free upgrade later reverted to 7. Frankly, your best solution is to buy a new computer.

Computeractive is part of a big organization called Dennis publishing. It must be a special they have arranged with MS.

Computer works very well, but no updates at all, so just wanted to give him a little upgrade to run updated softwares.

Their is no problem at all, but can't use few updated software. So, nothing to do at least to go with Win7 for free ?

There was never a free, legal upgrade from Vista to 7. You could have done an anytime upgrade I think but that would have gone out the window with 8. Now you can try to find a free copy and/or key/cracker online but be aware that you could be loading yourself up with spyware or a cracked copy of windows that'll spy on you, you will be violating the EULA, and that we can't help you with the process or with any ensuing issues due to a violation of the forum rules concerning piracy.

You would need to purchase a license for win7 - unless you already have one that you can move off another machine.

There might have been a free upgrade for certain computers built just before 7 came out but 10 is the only version that's been free for anyone.
