Greetings everyone..
recently i have noticed that my HP pAV dv4 ent notebook, performs better with vista on it than w7. each install without problems but i get better battery life with vista than w7, i also have been experiencing a freeze up when i unplug my batter while w7 is running which i dont experience with vista..seems the laptop is saying i should be using vista but i absolutely love windows 7 plus their is no good Vista version out their right now.

Any ideas why this is so?

Lets try to diagnose, try a clean boot to diagnose.

After the next freeze, go to search and type event viewer. In Event Viewer go to the administrative section, in left panel. Then look for all errors that happened at the time of the freeze.
First place to check is your drivers. If Win7 drivers are not available, use Vista drivers (32bit or 64bit based on version of Win7 you are using.)

Sounds like overheating may be the cause or possibly even memory may not be sufficient.
