Do you have a Vista install DVD?

Did you run the SFC three times?

No, I don't have a vista install cd/DVD. I looked for it and found a paper copy which said my pc had it installed inside for later use when necessary. Though I don't know how I would go about that.

Yes, I ran the SFC scan 3 times, I even did a 4th -- errors and unable to fix.

I'm hoping I don't have to run a complete uninstall/reinstall of vista. Although if it's absolutely necessary, I guess I can run the uninstall/reinstall.

With the repair of vista os and such, would this error ever occur again?

I looked at it, windows sidebar was mentioned. It would be disappointing if the stupid sidebar caused all this.

Also, when I went to attach the log DEP disabled IE window, not sure why.

No sidebar does not cause problems such as this.

No Mitch, I can diagnose and in lieu of other Reports, it looks like you need a new install or a repair.
I do not know what a paper cd is, but you can buy an install DVD for cost (about $25.00) from the company that sold you the computer and try a repair install or a reinstall.
You can also try to install from your restore partition (maybe this is the paper CD)
Many compaines, give you a way to return to factory specs, you lose all your stuff, by hitting a certain key on boot. You can look it up on line or in your manual. If you give me the computer make and model, I can check it out tomorrow.

Ok, yeah about the whole "paper cd", I didn't know how to describe. But what you said, is what I meant. I will look up how to access the restore and such.

Should I go with a complete restore to factory setting or restore to a much early point before all this happened?

Thanks for your time, seriously thank you.

By the way, may I ask, "What is that animal in your photo?"

My Computer

Lot of questions
I will answer as though its my computer
I would try to restore to an earlier time if possible if not
Restore and go back to factory specs (let me know, I can save your stuff first)
Then by the restore DVD or for a few bucks more a Seven DVD.

Try a system restore first (earlier time)

I dont know where you are from, but that is a picture of a Meerkat. I took it in the Atlanta Ga Zoo (Atlanta is a city in South Carolina in the USA (if you are not from these parts)
Meerkat was one of the stars of Disneys, "Lion King"

A meerkat, just by judging from the photo only, I figured you resided in Australia. But you live much closer, I reside in California. It's a nice photo, kudos for taking the photo at the moment meerkat looked up into the air.

Alright I will restore to an earlier point.

My Computer

Well then, your choice,
buy a cd at cost and try a repair install or a new install
or try the restore partition.
Before I go, want to save your stuff first, just in case?
