I'm installing a laptop with Vista. Do I have to do anything special to activate the webcam. It doesn't seem to be there.

Many thanks for the reply. I have downloaded the drivers, and now have an icon on the task bar, but it is x-ed out, saying the device is disconnected. Is there something I have to do to turn it on? The green light is showing so it looks as though it's on.

Web cams are not my thing, but can you right click on this icon and maybe use the context menu? I imagine that it needs to be configured.
It could well be that you need additional software for it to work, eg. quicktime

I hope this helps

Dear Pooch: Many thanks again. Although it is still showing as disconnected, suddenly my image popped up onscreen. No idea why, but it seems to work. Thanks for your help.
