Solved Where can i get a vista ISO?

i need to make a new windows disc to reinstall i have legal windows key i dont have the disc because someone installed ubuntu on this pc and i dont have the discs to install. where can i find a UNTOUCHED home premium iso. that actually has seeders??!?

i also am installing a 2nd hard drive in my pc and i cant find the jumper on the drive to set it to slave..

Hello Guinelle,

You can borrow a friend's Vista installation disc to install the same Vista edition that your product key is for, then activate it with your key number. All Vista installation discs are able to install any edition of Vista.

This is much safer than using a questionable illegal torrent download that may contain unknown malware.

thanks but my friends only have 32 bit i cannot get a hold of a 64 bit disc. i need to make 1

The product key will still work. I installed 32 bit on another pc and used my 64 bit product key. You can always install 32 bit on your pc but you wont be fully utilizing it to its full potential. You can try over Bittorrent or LimeWire but be warned that viruses are sure to be included. I do not recommend or condone this as it could be considered piracy.

i dont want 32 bit. i paid for this OS all i want is the untouched iso file so i can make my disc. i dont understand if i use a legit key how could it be piracy.

Downloading it through torrents promote piracy since it's not a legal torrent. The best way is to find someone, even if it's not even friends, if they are willing to let you borrow their 64bit disk, then go for it and take their phone number, and worst case scenario, buying it second hand and using your key or something.

yes, ibuypower gave me a recovery DVD i have that. i had to Wipe my HDD clean and i need a new disk the recovry disk cant do a fresh install

it cannot do a fresh install.. ive looked its the same disc bundles with my computer. it only allows me to do like that restore BS

The recovery DVD cannot do a fresh install because it works with the recovery partition that is located on the hard drive usually hidden. If someone wipes the whole hard drive including the recovery partition, then the recovery dvds are rendered useless.

i found out my bros pc has x64 and his disc worked. and i got my HDD installed. so its all good :D

haha yea it turns out the disc i was trying to use wasnt the one bundled with the computer. it was a recovery disc i made a while back. and i never knew my bro ran 64 bit...:roflmao:
