Why some internet videos can't forward the video?

I want to skip the intro of a video but sometime some video in certain website can't do it, so I just wonder why it can't forward a video?

I don't know how this is done either. But I suspect that anyone knowing the details would not be permitted to talk about it, least of all on a busy public forum. Don't expect that there is some easy way to get around this.

Don't remember which video was, however when I find another one we have a long talk again. the problem is, each time you drag a video forward it return back to the beginning of the video again.

However do you think it has to do with the configuration of the video player?

I find that with some mpeg video that is recorded from my tv stick I have to convert the video first to be able to get around this
