Will my GRUB menu be gone after i dual boot Windows Vista?

Hi there,

I have Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on my computer dual booting Windows 8.1 and i am wondering, Will i lose my GRUB menu with ubuntu in? It happened to me once when i dual booted win8.1 within win10 (removed win10 since i hate it) and if i lose my GRUB menu, is there any way to get it back? Can vista handle a 2014 model? My laptop is Lenovo G50-45
